We usually begin by installing a piece of peel and stick flashing folding it into the corner between the roof and the wall.

Kickout flashing is improperly fashioned and improperly installed on a regular basis but it s actually quite easy to make a piece of kickout flashing with a longnose pliers and a piece of step.
Step 3 install the kickout flashing.

Next install a course of peel and stick membrane along the eaves.
Run the siding until the last full course under the roof area.
Be sure to leave space between the end of the fascia and the wall where fastflash wrb and siding can slide up.
Nail it to the sidewall or glue it if nailing isn t possible.
Also make sure to slip it behind all j channels and roof flashing.

Place the back edge of the kick out flashing over the caulking and attach with a galvanized nail to the vertical wall.
If the kick out and step flashing can t tuck behind the siding screw on cap flashing to cover it then caulk along the top.
