Center the fasteners in the slots to allow for expansion and contraction.
Each lap of siding has to be level on the horizontal.
It will be made of aluminum and it usually comes about 3 inches in width and 12 feet long.
Snap a level line all the way around your house and make sure it s level.
Experienced installers often use a laser level to make sure each lap is correct.
It is important to check your level every four or five courses by putting a level on the siding.
Start fastening vertical siding and corner posts in the top of the uppermost slots to hold them in position.
You will notice siding is not level if you examine the corners and joints where the siding joins together and they are not perfectly aligned.
