No unspecified nailing is permitted for the other truss members. Toe nail them into the top plate to secure them and then make sure they are braced laterally using blocking or long purlins. Be careful not to split the end of the truss and it would be a good idea to pre drill the end first before. Given that this section of the bottom chord is likely where one of the connector plates that hold the truss together is located you may need to nail through a metal plate on one side of the truss. Step 3 level and nail fix both sides of the truss with a brace fixed to the structural timber on the adjacent table lift. Make sure that your truss and rafter are also toe nailed in place before you install your hurricane straps.
