Step 2 turn the crank knob and push on the window at the same time to open the window using pliers.
Push down on the arm to pop the bushing out of the track.
If the problem persists have the window lock replaced.
Close the window and lock it until the new crank arrives.
Grasp the crank stud with a pair of pliers and turn it clockwise to fully open the window.
Don t force the lock if it won t open easily as doing so could cause further damage.
Slide a putty knife between the window jamb and casement cover and gently pry.
