Lower the presser foot.
How to sew plastic sheets together.
Sewing plastic together is actually a better option than trying to tape or glue it together as the sewn knots are closer together and less damaging to the plastic.
Begin to sew at a slow speed.
Adjust the stitch length to 3 for ordinary stitching and 4 for top stitching.
If the plastic sheeting is very thick you can use staples about 6 inches apart.
Step 2 cut a piece of tape 1 foot long.
Donot use leather sewing needles as it will tear into the material.
You can use ordinary sewing needle for thin plastic and vinyl sewing.
Pin the plastic sheeting together using standard sewing pins at 3 to 5 inch intervals.
Change sewing needle after every project.
Lay down another sheet with 1 inch overlapping the edge of the first piece.
Do not pull on the sheeting as it may stretch it just hold it firmly as you sew.
But for thicker vinyl use denim sewing needles.
A dull needle is not good news with this material.
Hold your material taut in front and back of the presser foot.
