In this video i cover measuring the roof figuring the metal th. If you want to install a gambrel roof then you should be very careful with the process as you want the job done properly. Then measure the space between the studs and the size of your shed so you know what width of insulation to buy. You can also use closed cell spray foam insulation which also acts as a vapor barrier.

Gambrel roofs are very similar to an old barn roof that is why they are also called a barn roof. Lay this insulation material long ways between the roof joists and fix it into the roof using appropriate tools. The right tools should come with the package. Before insulating your shed make sure it s sealed replace any broken windows and patch any holes in the roof if necessary.

You can use rigid insulation between the floor joists and use strapping or blocking to hold the insulation in place. Step 5 covering the insulation. Install a layer of roofing insulation as recommended by the roofing manufacturer. Start from the top of the roof and remove the old shingles along with the flashing underlayment and vents.
